Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Abhishek Wadhawan ("we", "us"), who run Hugmiles (the app and this website). By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use Hugmiles.

1. Who can use Hugmiles

You must be 18 or older. Hugmiles is for adults in a relationship.
One account per person. A couple space has exactly two members.
Give accurate sign-up information and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

2. Your couple space

You link with your partner using an invite code. Anyone with the code can join while it is valid, so share it only with your partner. Codes expire and you can replace them.
Either of you can unlink at any time. When one person unlinks, the shared space stops being editable for both. For 30 days you can both still read it and export what is yours, then the shared data is deleted.

3. What you may not do

Break the law, or use Hugmiles to harass, threaten, stalk, monitor or control another person. Sharing location is always your own choice.
Upload content that is illegal, sexual content involving anyone under 18, or content that infringes other people's rights.
Try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, or access data that is not yours.
Use bots or automated means to create accounts or guess invite codes.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we may report serious cases to the authorities.

4. Your content

You own what you create (messages, photos, drawings, letters). You give us permission to store it and show it to your partner so that the service works. We do not use your photos or messages to train AI models. Features that use AI (for example translation of voice notes or AI memes) are explained inside the app before you use them.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

Hugmiles is free to use. An optional paid plan ("Couple Pro") unlocks extra features for both partners. Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are billed and refunded by them under their terms. You can cancel at any time in your store account settings; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.

6. The service

We work to keep Hugmiles running and safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. Features may change. Hugmiles is not an emergency service and must not be relied on to contact emergency help. Distance and time displays are estimates.

7. Ending your account

You can stop using Hugmiles and delete your account at any time (see Delete your account). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Hugmiles is provided "as is" and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited, or liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms, for example when we add features. If a change is important we will tell you in the app before it applies. Using Hugmiles after that means you accept the new terms.

10. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of India (courts of Mohali, Punjab), and the courts there can decide disputes, without removing any protection you have under the law of the country where you live. Questions: [email protected].
